The Foodbank of Siouxland provides various resources for members of the Siouxland community. From our Mobile Pantry to our Backpack program, our organization is always looking for new ways to help those in need. Select the down arrow to the right of our program descriptions to learn more.
BackPack Program: Food for Kids

“Mobile Pantry Program” is a food pantry on wheels! The Food Bank of Siouxland brings thousands of pounds of food to a host location for families and individuals to take home. Our focus is serving in all counties in our area that are underserved – meaning that through the Mobile Pantry Program: Food to You, all of our counties will receive the pounds of food needed to provide adequate nutrition to families in our Siouxland community.
This program is made possible thanks to the support of many individuals and organizations who help fund the program and who volunteer their time to serve those in need. If you would like to partner with us and be a host site, please contact us at (712) 255-9741.

Mobile School Pantry: Food for Families
School pantries are located on school grounds, intended to provide a more readily accessible source of food assistance to food insecure students and their families. In many communities, the school is a hub of activity and a resource center for families. Because of the close relationship between students and faculty, school personnel frequently become aware of challenges within the family while dealing with student issues.

Letter Carriers’ Food Drive
“Celebrate Our Friends” is one way the Food Bank of Siouxland likes to thank donors and agencies along with volunteers and all who’ve helped further our mission of leading the fight against hunger. This event, typically held during Hunger Action Month in September, includes the presentation of: 1) our “Legacy Award” to an outstanding partner who goes above and beyond in their generosity and compassion for those in need, 2) the “Agency Award” to recognize their hard work and commitment to the community, and 3) the “Volunteer Award” to honor long-standing, compassionate volunteers.
CONGRATS to our 2019 Recipients:
LEGACY AWARD: SoHo Kitchen & Bar, Julie Schoenherr
“Legacy Award” – Cargill, Interbake Foods, Tyson, Woodhouse Auto Family, Area Walmart Stores, Missouri River Historical Development, Northwest Iowa Labor Council
